We did end up getting pulled over, and had the officer rummage through all of our belongings inside of the trucks.  We still to this day have no idea why they were searching our moving trucks, but it took almost 3 hours.  After they were done rifling through everything from barstools, our cologne and perfume, my girlfriends clothing, my dogs toys, you name it, they even checked my mothers hand me down cubic zirconia jewelry.  Like I said, they rifled through all of our belongings, and we have absolutely no idea what their reasons were for it.

Knowing your own rights is the best knowledge you can possess. Getting to know what is going to happen, or could happen in your state is going to give you the heads up on what to expect. The laws vary from state to state, but usually if it is your first offense, getting a DUI attorney can help you lessen the fines and penalties, usually down to community service. If you are a repeat offender though, you deserve to have the book thrown at you, and can expect the judge to express no leniancy with you.
