We were on a moving trip a few months ago, and had two Uhaul trucks loaded down with furniture, our belongings, and practically everything that we owned. While we were loading the trucks down, we did have ourselves a few drinks, and ended up missing out on lunch. Not a single person saw what was coming, as everybody said that they were fine. The problem was, that nobody was fine, and everyone of us were actually drunk, above the legal limit, and getting into the vehicles to move to our new home.

We did end up getting pulled over, and had the officer rummage through all of our belongings inside of the trucks. We still to this day have no idea why they were searching our moving trucks, but it took almost 3 hours. After they were done rifling through everything from barstools, our cologne and perfume, my girlfriends clothing, my dogs toys, you name it, they even checked my mothers hand me down cubic zirconia jewelry. Like I said, they rifled through all of our belongings, and we have absolutely no idea what their reasons were for it.

We ended up having to wait a very long time, and because we were on the move, and everybody that was helping out had been drinking that day, we were unable to find anyone to come pick up the vehicles and take us to our new house. Thankfully though, since I knew that I was already going to be needing a DUI attorney for this little mess I got myself into, I decided to call him while we were waiting.

After getting ahold of my attorney, he told me that I didn’t have to worry. I began to ask how he could say that, and he said that he personally knew the cop that pulled me over, and actually had his sons with him that could drive the trucks for us. After all was said and done, my DUI lawyer got me off of the charges, gave me a ride to my new house, saved the lives of a lot of people, caught up with his old pal, had his sons help us move, and then didn’t charge me a dime. That’s how a DUI / <a href="http://duiattorney-info.com"title="" >DWI attorney saved my license.

So what exactly caused you personally to need a <a href="http://duiattorney-info.com"title="" >DUI attorney? Was it having a fun night out on the town with your friends as the designated driver, and the party got out of hand? Or having fun drinking at a party all night, and you and your girlfriend have a fight, causing you to leave the party … well beyond the legal limit to drive. What about thinking that you head eaten enough throughout the day to “stop” the effects of the alcohol you had been drinking? Only to realize you didn’t really eat that much, and are considerably drunk. The cop behind you noticed!

I am sure there are other times that you have had a little too much to drink, and made the irresponsible decision to get behind the wheel and drive, either actively knowing you were too drunk, or just being over confident telling yourself that you didn’t really drink that much, and that you are good to drive. The latter are the worst drunk drivers, because they feel that the alcohol has had no effect on them at all. This is a big mistake, because it is the alcohol causing them to be so confident in their own abilities.

This is where the problem lies. This drunkard has built up his own confidence with drink after drink, and is now telling himself that the isn’t really drunk. Everybody around him can clearly see that he is in no position to drive, but you know how drunks get. After him proceeding to yell, scream, and start fights with his closest friends, he is allowed to leave the party. Getting into his car, he keeps telling himself that he is fine, can drive, that his friends are wrong, and starts up the car, pulling away from the party.

This is where he just signed his life ticket. As soon as he gets out of the party, he ends up running through a stop sign that he didn’t see. He didn’t see it either because he was drunk, or just upset about what had just happened. Whatever the case, he ran it, and there was a cop sitting on the side street waiting for someone to do just that. His unlucky night, I tell you. Well, he did end up getting pulled over, given a field sobriety test, and then was hauled off to jail by his new friendly officer. He now has plenty of time to think about what caused him to need a DUI attorney.

Finding a reputable DWI <a href="http://duiattorney-info.com"title="" >DUI Attorney can be a tough task, and if you don’t know what you are doing, you are better off just going at it alone. By this, I mean, handling your own case. Talking with the judge yourself, explaining your own situation, learning your own rights, and then settling your own charges. I say this, because if you aren’t choosing a reputable DUI attorney, you are just giving some kid a grip of money to do the same thing I just told you to do. He is just going to enjoy it more, because he is taking your hard earned dough.

Face it, we all get into a little trouble throughout our lives. We have all made a few decisions we weren’t too proud of later on down the line, and getting a DUI is one of them. Driving under the influence is an incredibly big mistake, because you not only put yourself, but other people’s lives at risk, but your own bad decision. New DUI attorneys know this, and will take advantage of people not knowing the system, and knowing the fact that they are in a suppressed state of mind. They will quickly take your money, thinking that you don’t have a clue about the process.

What a good DWI DUI attorney is going to do, is figure out exactly what happen. First and foremost, he wants to know everything about the day. He is going to be able to point out spots in the day that can help your case, for one reason or another, that only he can see … he is an attorney after all. Next, he is going to figure out your financial situation, to figure out how you are going to pay for your fines. Then, taking a look at your history, he can give you a pretty good idea of about what kind of penalties, fines, and jail time, if any, you are going to be facing. He can take all of this to the judge, to work out a lesser sentence, usually just ending in a couple of fines, and a lot of community service hours.

If this is your first offense, I strongly recommend getting a good DUI attorney. Getting one now, can greatly diminish problems that you bring on yourself later on down the road. You don’t want a solid “I give up.” DUI on your record, because you are going to have a hard time getting a job, car insurance, not to mention all other types of problems that come with coming out and admitting that you should be charged with a DUI crime. Contact a reputable DWI DUI attorney, and you will have the best chance at protecting yourself from your own bad decisions.

Ok, so you have landed yourself into the position of needing a <a href="http://duiattorney-info.com"title="" >DUI attorney, but the question is, do you really need a <a href="http://duiattorney-info.com"title="" >DWI attorney? Most people think they are the same thing, but the laws vary slightly, and they are considered two different charges. In fact, some states consider them drastically different charges, and consider a DWI to be the greater of the two. If you are a repeat offender, it doesn’t matter which charge you get, you are in for some trouble, and can expect to have the book thrown at you, even if you do get a good DUI attorney.

First, let’s discuss the difference in the two terms. DUI means driving under the influence, and DWI means driving while intoxicated. DUI simply means, that when you got pulled over, the officer knew that you were on something at the time. He couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it is, but once you were taken to jail, the blood tests, and urinalysis will reveal exactly what his suspicions were. Either way, you’re going to jail. A driving while intoxicated charge means the officer could smell alcohol on your breath while he was talking to you, or he can clearly see that you are way too incoherent to drive, let alone take any field sobriety tests, or a blood alcohol content test.

In the case of a DUI, the charges can be lessened greatly by means of the officer not being able to prove what you were on. You may even be taken to jail, and given time to regain yourself, and then be released under your own power, facing no charges at all. As long as you handle yourself properly when you get pulled over, and do not give the officer problems, you can usually get off with a light slap on the wrist, provided this is your first offense. Don’t let it happen again though, second and third time offenders get the book thrown at them.

For a driving while intoxicated charge, you are generally going to jail. They are going to give you time to sober up from whatever you are on, but expect to sit there until your court date, unless someone comes to bail you out. A DWI charge is considered more severe, and is going to be handled by a judge in the same manner. Being this intoxicated, and being on the road is no laughing matter, and judges take it very seriously. You could have killed yourself, or numerous other people on your way to getting arrested. Either way, if you get a driving while intoxicated charge, you are going to need a good DWI or DUI Attorney.

I cannot stress this enough to you, this one thing, be very aware of shady <a href="http://duiattorney-info.com"title="" >DUI attorneys. These are the guys that just received their law degree through the mail, living at home with their mom, “trying” to make it. Yeah, they are trying to make it by taking your hard earned money. These guys are crooks, plain and simple. They can sell you everything, telling you that you are going to be facing a lot of jail time, or heavy fines, penalties, etc, whatever it takes to raise up the retainer fee that you are required to pay.

Once you go to court, they then sell you on the fact that the work they put in couldn’t have been done by yourself, on your own time. They tell you that it was their connections, the people they know, and the experiences that they have had in court, that helps them get people off the hook. Face it, they don’t get you off the hook, no DUI attorney can do that, you’ve broken the law. What they do though, is go to court for you, and speak to the judge on your behalf. This is it. You could do a few hours of research, to determine your options, and then present this to the judge, speaking for yourself. It is the exact same thing, but the attorney has that law degree, remember?

That law degree is just a piece of paper to get the general public to buy into their load of crap. Yes, it is exactly that, crap. They are in a cheap suit, selling crap. Do your research to determine exactly what fines and charges you are facing, should you plea guilty, or not guilty, and then what times of sentences could go along with each. Also think about your insurance rates, losing your license, and the cost of going to jail, possibly losing your job. There are a lot of negatives that come with getting a DUI charge, but you made the decision. Just avoid the shade tree DUI attorney at all costs.

You need some tips for finding the best <a href="http://duiattorney-info.com"title="" >DUI attorney? The best advice I can give you, is to never drink and drive, so you never find yourself in the position of needing one. The next best advice I can give you, is if you do find yourself needing one, stay away from shady DUI attorneys. They will take your money quick, and you won’t see any results. Also, know your own rights, and what the laws are in your state, so you have the best idea of what to expect, even if you do hire a <a href="http://duiattorney-info.com"title="" >DWI attorney.

Knowing your own rights is the best knowledge you can possess. Getting to know what is going to happen, or could happen in your state is going to give you the heads up on what to expect. The laws vary from state to state, but usually if it is your first offense, getting a DUI attorney can help you lessen the fines and penalties, usually down to community service. If you are a repeat offender though, you deserve to have the book thrown at you, and can expect the judge to express no leniancy with you.

Avoiding shady attorneys is going to be your next best bet. Going with a reputable lawyer can save you a lot of time in the long run. You may end up spending more money with a good DUI attorney, but in the long run, he is going to reduce the true penalties that come along with receiving a DUI charge. These attorneys have been around for a long time, and know the ins and outs of the court system, along with having experience dealing with each judge. They are your best chance at lowering the fines, penalties, charges, and possible jailtime associated with getting a DUI.
