A DUI Attorney Did More Than Save My License
We were on a moving trip a few months ago, and had two Uhaul trucks loaded down with furniture, our belongings, and practically everything that we owned. While we were loading the trucks down, we did have ourselves a few drinks, and ended up missing out on lunch. Not a single person saw what was coming, as everybody said that they were fine. The problem was, that nobody was fine, and everyone of us were actually drunk, above the legal limit, and getting into the vehicles to move to our new home.
We did end up getting pulled over, and had the officer rummage through all of our belongings inside of the trucks. We still to this day have no idea why they were searching our moving trucks, but it took almost 3 hours. After they were done rifling through everything from barstools, our cologne and perfume, my girlfriends clothing, my dogs toys, you name it, they even checked my mothers hand me down cubic zirconia jewelry. Like I said, they rifled through all of our belongings, and we have absolutely no idea what their reasons were for it.
We ended up having to wait a very long time, and because we were on the move, and everybody that was helping out had been drinking that day, we were unable to find anyone to come pick up the vehicles and take us to our new house. Thankfully though, since I knew that I was already going to be needing a DUI attorney for this little mess I got myself into, I decided to call him while we were waiting.
After getting ahold of my attorney, he told me that I didn’t have to worry. I began to ask how he could say that, and he said that he personally knew the cop that pulled me over, and actually had his sons with him that could drive the trucks for us. After all was said and done, my DUI lawyer got me off of the charges, gave me a ride to my new house, saved the lives of a lot of people, caught up with his old pal, had his sons help us move, and then didn’t charge me a dime. That’s how a DUI / DWI attorney saved my license.
